Bright, old colored tops paired with ack pants or a skirt provide a n contrast to tire usual earth- ne scheme. Fine-gauge *v wool; or silk-and-wool blend ’ sweaters provide warmth and • ..still look cook The coats available this year make it a prime time to i choose a coat to invest in for / years to come. A basic black or . brown leather jacket, without too many buttons or zippers, will stand the test of time. < When all else fails, nothing beats jeans, tennis shoes find a maroon sweatshirt to face a chilly morning: There will be * plenty of time to dress well af ter college, when today’s stu dents enter the business world .and dressing well will be ex pected and easier to afford. There is a limit to how 1 black item can be worn and still have its fresh, modem y color. T Flip flops are banished to* the back of the closet or rele-; gated to shower duty during the cooler weather, meaning it is time to bring out the boots, but not necessarily those of the cowboy variety. When buying a new pair, think for the future and buy a simple style that will be fashionable for years to ; come. Keep boots polished to protect the leather and keep it looking new: A popular trend for women is knee-high boots in a neutral ' shade, such as black or camel. These boots look best paired with a skirt that hits below the knee or at mid-calf.
