Mauro wants to borrow the money to build new schools from the Permanent School Fund, the state’s trust fund for public schools. The proposal would require a con stitutional amendment, which vot ers would have to approve. Mauro said the money would be paid back over a 30-year peri od with interest and there would be no decrease in the $16.3 billion Permanent School Fund or in the Available School Fund, the mon ey distributed to schools. ress for The Texas A&M University Career Center presents... in interviewing September 24 7:30 p.m. 159 Wehner Make sure you know what is “suitable” to wear to your on- campus interviews this fall.
