There is a waiting list of peo ple wanting horses trained, he said, and customers have been the only source of advertise ment. “I guess we’re doing some thing right as we have main tained a full barn for the last two years,” Palmer said. The opera tion never handles more than 20 colts, so equal time can be given to each. “I don’t think a trainer can take more than 20 and do a good job,” he said. The society has more than 19,000 members. Retired Marine Corps Lt. Col. Munson R. Snedeker has been awarded a meritorious service medal for outstanding service as executive officer of the Naval Reserve Officers Training corps Unit at Texas A&M University. Snedeker was executive offic er of the NROTC program from Sept. 1979 through Oct. 1981. He also served as an advisor to the Texas Aggie Band. Snedeker is employed as a construction inspector in the Facilities Planning and Con struction Department at Texas A&M. Col. Donald L. Moore, a com munications and computer re sources expert assigned to the headquarters of the North American Aerospace Defense Command in Colorado Springs, Colo., has been nominated by President Ronald Reagan for appointment to the rank of bri gadier general in the Air Force. Moore, a graduate of Texas A&M and a resident of College Station, is NORAD assistant de puty chief of staff for Communi cations, Electronics and Compu ter Resources.
