Members of the selection com mittee will be on hand to answer questions about the selection process. R. M. Logan, director of student financial aid, will dis cuss loans and scholarships avail able to students in the profes sional cirriculum. Livestock Judges Win Second Place The A&M Livestock Judging Team won second place honors in the senior college division dur ing the Fort Worth Livestock Exposition and Fat Stock Show last week. Eighteen teams and 90 in dividuals from major colleges and universities competed in the judging. Iowa State University was first, University of Arizona won third, and the University of Nebraska took fouth. A&M team members were Gay- Ion Patterson of Crockett, Tom my Eckert of Mason, Melvin Young of Tulia, Frank Craddock, of Medina, Larry Beei-winkle of Temple and Bill Obsta of Vic toria. Coach L. D. Wythe, Jr., of the A&M Animal Science Depart ment said Patterson and Eckert were fifth place high point in dividuals in the overall contest. Patterson was high individual in Quarter Horse judging, and Eck ert was second high in sheep. TRACE is a National Science Foundation program coordinated by Texas A&M to enhance the computer capabilities of Sam Houston State, Texas Southem, Prairie View A&M and Tarleton State. Approximately 25 mathematics and engineering professors will attend a Feb. 20-21 session, an nounced Dr. Roger Elliott, assist ant professor of industrial engi neering at Texas A&M and TRACE coordinator. Business and economics faculty members will be here for another two-day session beginning Feb. 27. Counseling Service To Hear Commissioner John Kinross-Wright, MD, commissioner of the Texas De partment of Mental Health and Retardation will speak at the an nual dinner of the Braios County Counseling Service at 7 p.m. Feb. 19, at the Holiday Inn. The dinner will be open to the public and reservations may be made at the Counseling Services Offices, 412 Varisco Building in Bryan or by calling 822-0379. The meal will cost $3.75 per person. Dr. Kinross-Wright will speak on the ingredients necessary for good mental health in a com munity. Officers for 1970-71 will be the Rev. Guy Pry, president; Dr. Gar land Watson, vice president; Mrs. Kenneth Sellstrom, secretary; Lowell Jones, treasurer; and Mrs. Carl Shafer, assistant secretary. The counseling service, estab lished in 1955, was originally de signed to prevent serious prob lems of delinquency in the youth of the community, according to Sol Klein. It was one of the first of its kind in a community of this size in Texas, Klein said, and served as a model for other agencies across the state. He added that the counseling service is now an outpatient Mental Health Clinic for both children and adults, but its ob jectives remain the same as when the agency was started.
