Mitchell Tennis Center. Yet, it’s the game three days later against No. 12 University of Texas that is looming large. “(A&M head coach Bobby Kleineeke) has always told us to take it one game at a time,” said freshman Anna Lubinsky. “Anything can happen. Look at the LSU match when we went there expecting to win mid it turned out to be a disaster. So, we just have to focus on our next opponent and move on from there.” The Aggies (16-6. 8-0 in Big 12) face a Kansas State team that is struggling and has been for some time. The Wildcats (5-12, 1-8 in Big 12) were ranked as high as No. 33 at the beginning of the season but have fallen drasti cally since. They encountered a six-match losing streak at the beginning of conference play, and have yet to put together a signifi cant string of wins this season. On the other hand. A&M has been coasting through confer ence play. The Aggies have dominated their opponents, win ning their conference matches hy a combined score of 50-5. They hold an undefeated record at home this season and will be gunning for their best confer ence start ever on Saturday. The Wildcats are not expect ed to change that trend, but the match against the Longhorns on Tuesday might challenge it. Lubinsky claims that the key to the team’s success lately has been preparation. “We’re confident in our matches,” Lubinsky said. “That comes from preparation. The work in practice, in the weight room and just getting ready for the matches has been the reason why we have played so well and been on this winning streak.” A number of p compiled impressive duals records this year.
