The team will need to find some frontcourt play to fill the role left by gradu ating seniors Kim Tarkington and Kerrie Pat terson. Also graduating is forward Brenda Beard, who saw limited playing time this year due to injury. The 1999-2000 season should also con tinue to see the emergence of Gillom’s first recruiting class, as freshmen LaToya Rose and Celeria Washington will see more play ing time after making strides this year. Gillom has tailored her recruiting to the Aggies’ needs in the early signing period, by signing the 6-foot-3 Classen twins from San Antonio Churchill to give the Aggies size in the middle, a three-point shooter in Meg Banahan of Oxford, Miss., and a fu ture floor leader in point guard Tression Mason of Dallas. Aggies Continued from Page 7 the paint for the Aggies. De spite constant double and triple-teaming, Jones finished the year as the Big 12 leader in field-goal percentage and was named to the All-Big 12 underrated team. Freshman Joe White had a productive season, ranking in the top five in scoring and blocks among Big 12 fresh men and was honored on the All-Big 12 freshman team. While the 1998-99 season will not go down as one of the best in school history, it should set the tone for Watkins’ plans for the future as a postseason team in sea sons to come. Sunday afternoon, the ninth in ning was the Aggies’ best friend as Stephen TYuitt hit a two-out, two-run home run to defeat the Oklahoma State University Cow boys. Tuesday night, the ninth inning was the Aggies’ downfall as they wasted a five-run rally in the top of the ninth to lose to the Univer sity of Texas-San Antonio Road- runners 10-9. The Aggies trailed 4-3 going into the eighth inning but tied the game on junior third baseman Dell Lind sey’s home run to left center. The Roadrunners responded, touching up pitchers Courtney Weller and Casey Possum (3-2) for three runs in the bottom of the inning. Trailing by three going into the ninth inning, the Aggies looked to provide some of the comeback magic they had in the OSU game. Shortstop Steve Scarborough started off the inning by drawing a walk.
