A group of students from University of North Texas, Brave Combo mixes rock and Latin rhythms in their return trip to Stafford. Tribal Nation will be playing reggae music at 3rd Floor Cantina's TAMU's Caribbean Club party. The special event is open to the public and will have Jamaican D.J.'s during the band's breaks. Ray Vaughan, but he said he has a more aggressive style. See related story, Page 3. Jerk, a rock cover band / will|)i returning to The Tap. (AP) — Country music fans nominated Alan Jackson in seven categories, including top entertainer and male artist of the year, in the TNN-Music City News Country Awards .Jackson’s “Livin’ on Love” was nominated for video of the year and top single. His “Summer time Blues” also was nominated for video of the year and “Who I Am” is up for album of the year. Jackson and George Jones were nominated for their update of Jones’ hit “A Good Year for the Roses.” Vince Gill received six nominations Thursday; Reba McEntire and Ricky Van Shelton three each. The winners will be announced June 5 during a special on The Nashville Network broadcast from the Grand Ole Opry House.
