Rollie White Coliseum. Prizes will be given and a silent auction will be held with donations from Texas A&M Fitlife, Schlitter- bahn, local fitness clubs and many other local businesses. The event will include perfor mances by the Aggie Wranglers and Fade to Black. Anyone can register with the kinesiology de partment in Room 214 in G. Rol lie White. A&M sorority sponsors walk to raise money Kappa Alpha Theta is spon soring its ninth annual 5-k/1.5 mile walk April 16 at 9 a.m. Money raised will benefit Scotty’s House and Court Ap pointed Special Advocates. Awards will be given to the top three finishers overall and the top three finishers in each category. The entry fee is $10, and door prizes will be given after the event. Health center to offer cash prizes for best recipes Chemistry club approves policies for new award The Health Education Center is holding a contest for the best nutri tional recipes. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best entrees, appe tizers or side dishes and desserts. Applicants must type their recipe along with their name, ad dress and phone number and sub mit it to Room 016 in the Beutel Health Center. Deadline is April 20 at 4 p.m. The American Chemical Soci ety has approved guidelines for the F.A. Cotton Award and Lec tureship for Excellence in Chemi cal Research. This award, to be given for the first time in spring 1995, is spon sored jointly by the Texas A&M University Department of Chem istry and the local ACS section. The gold medal will be given annually to a scientist who has made important contributions in any area of chemistry.
