Hugo Berlanga received $27,000 from a Houston company with ties to a San Antonio law firm whose relationship with law makers has been the focus of grand jury scrutiny, a newspa per reported. The Dallas Morning News re ported in its early Tuesday edi tions that a Travis County grand jury is investigating the accusa- tions, detaileoin part in a law suit filed by Ken Gray and John Kalisek Jr. The two are former employees of Federal Civil Proc ess Inc. Gray testified two weeks ago before the grand jury, and Kali sek appeared Friday under sub poena. Last week, Berlanga was fined $500 and held in contempt of court for refusing to turn over his business records sought by the grand jury.
