Cadets plan Elephant Bowl for Saturday By MIKE DAVIS Staff Writer More than 85 senior cadets will take off their military uniforms and don football gear for the Elephant Bowl, Saturday at 2 p.m. on Kyle Field. The full-fledged football game pits cadets against cadets with the proceeds of the game going to the Brazos County Boys Club. Tom Kaczmarek, a senior engi neering technology major from Florida, said Elephant Bowl is an an nual football game between the se niors in the Corps of Cadets. Each year the Corps’ four major units are separated and formed into two foot ball teams. This year the Aggie Band and Wing (Air Force units) team will battle the Regiment (Navy/Marine) and Brigade (Army) team. Kaczmarek, one of five coordina tors for the event, said the teams be gan practicing for the game after spring break and have spent more tnan 75 hours in preparation for the contest. Kaczmarek said in past years Stu dent Government organized and funded Elephant Bowl, but this year, the Corps took on full responsibility for the event. Most of the pads and equipment were donated about seven years ago, he said. The Aggie Band Drum and Bugle Corps will play music for the game, though no half-time show will be performed. Corps freshmen were selected to serve as yell leaders and officers of the day. A $1 donation to the Brazos County Boys Club will be the cost of admission. for the tux shirts • plaid tux vests • top hat canes • cummerbunds • specialty ties 10% off to all A&M students w/ID thru April 900 Harvey RD. • Post Oak Village Open 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Mon.-Fri. & 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sat. !irriii«riowu, SOUSE ***.«» mtmmm All You Can Eat - Daily Specials 4-10 p.m. Sunday Pancakes $1.99 All You Can Eat Mon.
