Kyle Field will be the site of the “Big Kiss,” an attempt to break the wond’s record for the biggest kiss. The event, which begins at 8:30 ,m. on Feb. 14, is sponsored by the luscular Dystrophy Association, Student Government, the Residence & Hall Association and KKYS-FM. All proceeds will benefit MDA. MDA Program Coordinator for the Bryan-College Station area Di ane Maxwell says if more than $20,000 is raised, Texas A&M will be eligible to send a representative to the Jerry Lewis Telethon in Septem ber. The current record for the big gest kiss was set at Oregon State Uni versity in 1981, with 1,100 couples kissing for two minutes straight. The goal for Texas A&M is 2,000 couples kissing for three minutes. Registration begins on today, and the entrance fee is $5 per person. This fee includes a “Big Kiss” t- shirt for each participant and a “kiss kit” consisting of Hershey kisses, cHapstick and various sample prod ucts for each couple. Those wishing to participate may register at the Memorial Student Center, the Quad, the Commons or Sbisa.
