An address on General Robert E. Lee will be delivered, and a wreath laid on the Confederate Monument on the Capitol grounds. Late registration remains open Late registration for College Station Community Educa tion isjan. 17 through Jan. 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registra tion is at the Community Education Office at 109 Timber, '/a block off Jersey. Parks and Recreation interviewing The College Station Parks and Recreation Department is now interviewing instructors for Spring Classes and Recrea tion Supervisors for Kids Summer Day Camp. Graduation announcements available May and DVM Graduates must order their graduation announcements before Feb. 8. Announcements can be ordered in the MSC Student Finance Center, room 217, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Boy Scout banquet scheduled Arrowmoon District Boy Scouts will hold its annual appre ciation Banquet on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Bryan High School Cafeteria. Keynote speaker will be Sen. Kent Caperton. The community may attend. Tickets for the bar- beque dinner may be purchased for $5 at the door, or bought from any area Boy Scout. A&M grad wins first place award Charles A. Phillip, a 1983 Animal Science graduate of Texas A&M University, was named as the first place cash recipient of the 1982-83 Block & Bridle Outstanding Senior Awards. Sponsored annually by TUCO, Division of The Upjohn Company, the awards were presented during the annual meeting of the American Society of Animal Science, held during December at Washington State University, Pullman. In addition, Darrell G. Stewart, a graduate student at Texas A&M, received the third place Block & Bridle Award. Fellowship awarded to student Wesley Garwood, an architecture junior from San Anto nio, was selected as the recipient of the first Donald E. Jarvis Fellowship for Travel, which he will use to help finance a spring semester program in Italy. Professor selected as consultant Dr. Sammy Ray, professor of Marine Biology at Texas A&M at Galveston, has been selected to act as a consultant in oyster biology and culture at the Center of Advanced Studies in Mariculture at Central Marine Fisheries Research Insti tute at Cochin, India. Texan victim of auto death United Press International EUFUALA, Okla. — A Texas 'Oman getting out of a stalled ar was struck and killed and our other people were injured nan icy bridge by a second auto atskidded into them, an Okla- loma Highway Patrol spokes- lan said Monday. The victim, Gracie Mae Mer, 73, of Carrollton, died at Eufaula Hospital about tour hours after the accident, which occurred about 6:15 p.m. Sun day on the U.S. 69 South Cana dian River bridge in McIntosh County.
