The graduate and undergra duate students approved by the Senate will receive their degrees Dec. 9 and 10 if they complete all requirements for graduation. The Senate’s action marks the first time since it was estab lished in May that the Senate has approved a curriculum issue. In the past, graduation candidates were passed by the now defunct Academic Council. graduate degree program in speech communication. The areas of speech com munication and theatre arts, currently part of the Depart ment of English, will be com bined into one department in the College of Liberal Arts if the proposal is also approved by university administration offi cials and the Coordinating Board Texas College and Uni versity System. The Coordinating Board has final say on the matter.
