HOLY WEEK SCHEDULE Conservatives attack demo leaders Confessions Mon. 12:15-1:15 Wed. 5:15-6:30 MASSES: Chrism Mass (Austin) Tues. 10:30am United Press International WASHINGTON — The con servative group that claimed most of the liberal trophies of the 1980 election Monday put three Demo cratic House leaders and a senator on a new “hit list” — saying they are obstructing President Reagan’s economic program. John T. Dolan of the National Conservative Political Action Committee said Sen. Paul Sar banes, D-Md.; House Democratic Leader Jim Wright of Texas; Budget Committee chairman Jim Jones of Oklahoma; and Ways and Means Committee chairman Dan Rostenkowski are first targets of the group’s effort to assist passage of the Reagan program. “This list is just a beginning and we hope to expand it as time goes on,” Dolan said. He said the Reagan budget cuts “are too modest,” but added that “the President’s program is our best hopes to restore the Ameri can economy — an economy al most destroyed by politicians like Senator Sarbanes and Congress men Wright, Rostenkowski and Jones.” He said his group would spend ' an initial $450,000 against Wright, $400,000 against Sarbanes, $100,000 against Jones and $50,000 against Rostenkowski. He gave a preview of anti- Sarbanes television ads that will be run in Washington starting Wednesday. They call Sarbanes, up for re-election in 1982, “the biggest spender in the Senate,” and charge that, “He voted to raise your taxes a staggering $249 billion.” Dolan took exception to ques tions describing Jones as a conser vative, saying the Oklahoman had come up with a deeper cutting alternative to the Reagan budget Holy Thursday 7:00 pm Good Friday Service 3:00 pm Holy Saturday Mass 8:00pm Easter Sunday Masses 8:30/10:00/11:30/1/7:00pm NOW OPEN We’n Fighfini Inflation Real Bargain ?|fe LOADING ZONE -n *1 in.
