TON mi (ions fe: norning; are paid lO/moii iportafe Bike-a-thon cyclists to begin ride Sunday 323 BY BECKY SWANSON City Staff The second annual Cystic Fibrosis bike-a-thon will be held Sunday, starting and ending at the Manor - East Mall in Bryan. The boy and girl with the most money pledged for the ride will each receive a 10-speed bicyle, the first I0TICE two completing the course will re- muil ceive trophies, and anyone with $25 | ( or more pledged will receive a bike- T&'thon T-shirt. ^ The 30-mile ride will get under way at 1 p.m., with check in at 12:30 in the mall parking lot. According to the rule sheet, all riders must be off the route by 5 p. m. Riders must stay on the route and travel on the right side of the road. Police officers will be at all major intersections to assist crossing. First aid and soft drinks will be available at the five checkpoint sta tions. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their sponsor sheet, and children under nine must be accompanied by an adult. Riders are being asked to sign up sponsors to pledge a certain amount for each mile they ride in the bike-a- thon. Sjponsor sheets are available at area McDonald’s, U-Tote’M stores and Pizza Huts. In case of rain, the bike-a-thon will be held on Sunday, April 20.
