If true, this theory should govern the majority of students on campus who are getting dull graduation re quirements out of the way while the forbidden beach beckons from afar. If this sounds familiar, the craft shop in the MSC basement is availa ble to help make the most of these heightened creative abilities. Projects of all sizes can be under taken in jewelry, weaving, pottery, or woodworking areas. By merely Dresenting an ID, a student can use a arge variety of tools. To use the larger woodworking tools, students must first pass a written and practical test. For those who would like instruc tion, the craft shop is offering classes in over 20 different skills. The classes, most of which start this week, will be taught by students, staff, housewives, and community professionals. They will meet once a week for a few hours. Students will need to provide their own materials and pay a small lab fee. The class in stained glass is very popular, said Bill Reeves, a graduate assistant with the craft shop. Other Taking a break from summer classes, this student turns her creative impulses into a hand-tooled leather purse at the Craft Shop in the basement of the MSC. projects may display them in the small gallery next to the shop. The shop receives a small commission when anything sells. Quite a bit is sold through that gallery, the craft shop staff said. courses include antique refinishing, jewelry, leather, watercolor, pot tery, and many others.
