ity Council approves 3.5 million bond sale By FLA VIA KRONE Acceptance of a bid by Rotan osle, Inc. for the sale of $3,525,000 i bonds was approved unanimously the College Station City Council Wednesday night. A total of six bids were received ith Rotan Mosle offering the lowest fective interest rate of 4.95 per cent. This compares with the current national average interest rate on bonds of 5.74 percent. $90,000 received from the sale of the bonds will be used for construc tion of a line connecting the College Station and Bryan sewerage treat ment plants, said City Manager North Bardell. Although the Northgate area lies within the College Station city limits, its sewer system is serviced by the Bryan sewerage treatment plant. The area has experienced problems with sewage overloads in the past. Acceptance of a $317,950 bid by Fairbairn Electric, Inc. of Corpus Christi for electrical construction in the College Station substation and switching station also was approved unanimously by the city council.
