The organization, known for its unique manner of “saying it with music”, will make five Rio Grande Valley stops plus appearances at Austin, Victoria, Alice and Falfur- rias. A regular feature of the Singing Cadets’ busy annual performance schedules, the between-semesters tour starts Friday evening in Victoria. Director Robert L. Boone will check in 66 members of the all-male glee club Thursday for a 10 a. m. to 4 p.m. rehearsal. Tour buses depart at 11 a.m. Friday. The tour will be the first for Mrs. Charlotte Ary. She became the Singing Cadets’ pianist-accompanist last summer, on retirement of Mrs. June Biering. Tour performances will include eight concerts for Texas A&M or Aggie Mothers Clubs, two sermons-in-song and high school as sembly performances at Brownsville and Falfurrias. Also, on Friday, Jan. 13, the “Men in Maroon’’ will ap pear on Austin television (12 noon, Ch. 7). The Cadets, who participate in Aggie Muster and present their local concert both on April 21 this year, toured West Texas last January and made a 1976 swing in cluding stops in East Texas, Arkan sas and Louisiana.
