6 THE BATTALION THURSDAY, DECEMBER 2, 1976 The Teachings of Jose Cuervo. (as excerpted from Chapter27of The Book.) Yes, Chapter 27, wherein it says that Jose Cuervo is not only the original, since 1795, supreme, premium, ultimate white tequila. But, goes on to say that Jose Cuervo, as the ultimate, is also the ultimate mixer. As a true test, simply pick one from Column A and one from Column B. Good-bye old hello new By GEORGE MASELLI While graduation day is a happy day for most college students, the same cannot be said of college football coaches. Two of these younger players are sophomores Cody Risien and Carl Grulich, who also happen to be friends and roommates. Risien, a very large offensive tackle with a ready smile, got his first start in the Arkansas game af ter seeing spot duty early in the season. The victim of the youth movement in this case was three year starter Billy Lemons. Ri sien said, “When I first took the starting job there was some resent ment, which is only natural, but Billy now accepts it as part of the game and for the good of the team. Risien has done the job so Lemons stays on the bench. Grulich also replaced a senior, Reggie Williams, at safety in a defen sive backfield that was plagued with breakdowns in coverage that pro duced two costly, early season de feats at the hands of Houston and Texas Tech. “There’s very little dif ference between him and Reggie, but Carl is younger and all he needs is a little more experience,” said de fensive boss Robertson. Grulich, a6T”, 190 pounder from Richardson, got his first start against Baylor and has been a fixture in the line-up since. “Carl is playing real well, but he still makes a lot of mis takes. He tackles real tough and he’s a smart kid, a good athlete, con tinued Robertson. Risien and Grulich symti reason why A&M has riset being a team that prompts; Aggie jokes into a national power.
