Since its origination in 1959, the iberty Bowl has not only brought itstanding football to American ewers, it has placed much em- basis on the spirit of freedom and ghtsofman. Incidentally, the Lib- rtyBowl is the only official athletic ientdesignated as a national Bicen- mnial event by the American Revo- ition Bicentennial Commission. The Ags finished the regular sea son with a 10-1 record, while the Trojans completed their schedule with a 7-4 mark. Each team will be coming off season-ending losses. Southern Cal will be led by all- American junior running back Ricky Bell, who led the nation in rushing.
