B. Zachry Construction Company who are working on the 240-mile stretch immediately south of Prudhoe Bay. “We re going to look at the prob lems they’ve got and see if there are any ideas for research that TAMU could do,” Benson said. “We want to see first hand the difficulties they’re facing and decide what we can do to solve them.” Driscoll is chosen for meteorology panel The World Meteorological Or ganization (WMO) of the United Nations has named a TAMU profes sor as a member of the Working Group on Human Biometeorology. Dr. Dennis M. Driscoll of the TAMU Meteorology Department has been named to the group along with scientists from Senegal, Fr ance, and the Federal Republic of Germany. They will study the application of the effects of climatic changes on human activity as well as the possi ble effects of man on climate. The group will also study the effects of solar radiation on man and atmos pheric effects on the spread of dis ease. “The task of the research will also York named top journalism grad Exa Ellis York of Bryan has been named by the Society of Profes sional Journalists, Sigma Delta Chi, as the outstanding journalism graduate this year at TAMU. Mrs. York, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Alvin Ellis of 114 Green way Drive, received her B.A. de gree in May. In conjunction with her TAMU studies, Mrs. York worked part- time as an editorial assistant in the Center for Marine Resources. She served last summer as a Newspaper Fund editorial-intern at the Arkan sas Gazette. Only two other TAMU journalism students have been selected for such internships. Mrs. York is moving this week to Louisiana where her husband is joining an oil firm. Recipients of the Sigma Delta Chi citations are chosen on the basis of character, scholarship in all college work and competence to perform journalistic tasks.
