For details call main nts ★ ★ ★ Basically the story of a race of giant humanoids who keep homo sapiens like us for pets, and one of our kind who escapes to join the small bands of wild humans, the film is seasoned with unexpected bizarre things that suddenly happen in the midst of the story. Each portion of the story is unfolded in an episode which ends right before another wierd occur rence opens a new sequence of events. A nicely structured movie that doesn’t get off into the possible sidetracks of fantasy ex perience, but sticks to the strug gle of the “Oms” for recognition as sentient creatures with dignity and all that. ‘Play It Again’ 1 bedroom furnished house. 2142. Of course the situations por trayed are obviously impossible, as is the basic arrangement of characters, but the reactions of the “Oms” is a naturally human as one could expect from such a predicament, were one to be in such. The film does an adequate job of the stuff science fiction is best suited for: presenting a worthwhile concept in an out rageous form so you may grasp it all in a very fundamental fashion. This film makes you sympa thize with your everyday cats and dogs, and wonder what it would be like for them if they were smart enough to exhibit some social ambition. On top of all that there are some fine chuckles In time to fill those last few free hours before final exams take over your mind, “Play It Again, Sam,” opens Monday night. A series of fantasy episodes illustrate how a person learns to draw characteristics from an imaginary character in order to be personally successful. Allan Felix (Carl Childress) assumes attitudes of Humphrey Bogart (Harry Gooding) in his relations with women. Woody Allen wrote this play about an absurd little man, con fused and ridiculous, who can’t seem to get women to fall in love with him, or even pretend to. Allen’s concepts of humor are easily communicated words about sex, “. . . salivary glands shifted into third. She wore a short skirt and a tight sweater and her figure described a set of para bolas that could cause cardiac arrest in a yak.” Tom Bond and Karen Miller play Dick and Linda, Felix’s best friends. Felix gets involved with Linda while she accompanies him on expeditions to meet girls. Meanwhile Bogart and Felix’s ex- wife (Martha McKemie) appear as apparitions to counsel him one way or the other, like devils and angels at either ear.
