Two years ago, the Aggies had a 12-0 record when they went to Fort Worth. They were 12-3 when they left. Then last year the Frogs took two out of three in College Station. A&M will take a 14-3 season mark and a 4-2 league record into the weekend series. The teams will play a 1 p.m. double- header Friday and a 2 p.m. single game Saturday. TCU has a 20-8 season record and stands 4-4 in league play. Coach Frank Windegger has most of the same players who tied Texas for the pennant last year. A&M coach Tom Chandler will go with a starting lineup of catcher Mike Frazier (.385), first- baseman Paul Miller (.258), sec- ondbaseman Mike Buxkamper (.435), left fielder Bill Raymer (.533) or Gene Reinarz (.265), centerfielder Jim Hacker (.320) and right fielder Jim Bratsen (.368). Witt kamp and Thomas are right handers. In relief will be Steve Janda (1-0, 0.00), Jim Juhl (2-1, 1.04), Charlie Jenkins (1-1, 5.65) and Jackie Binks (2-0, 6.75). The Aggies are batting .295 for the season and .289 in league play. Led by Falcon, the pitching staff has been striking out better than one man per inning (135 in 132 innings). Falcon has whiffed 48 in only 26% innings of work for the full season and 27 in 13 innings of SWC work. Following the TCU series, A&M hosts Houston, goes to Bay lor, and finishes the regular sea son at home against Texas. The Aggies didn’t drop a set as they swept five singles and two doubles matches. Pre-season favorite SMU comes to College Station Friday for a 1:30 p.m. match with the Aggies. The Aggies were scheduled for a make-up match with St. Ed ward’s here Wednesday but it has been cancelled.
