Wikson of Bryan, both A&M students, eye a check for campus gifts to the Marine Corps Civic Action Program in South Viet nam. Aggies gave more than $750 to help rehabilitation of the Vietnamese. Summer employment of stu dents is a hustling business at the Student Aid Office. Job turnover activity will peak during summer school registra tion, though vacancies created by graduates are usually filled in ad vance. Availability of work is good for enrolled students who qualify un der work study requirements, ac cording to Student Aid Director Robert M. Logan. Qualifications are based on need. “We can provide jobs for en rolled students wanting fulltime employment,” Logan said. High school students may check the job list in the Placement Of fice, Room 303, YMCA, but en rolled job seekers are placed through the personnel office. Logan estimated 25 per cent of enrollment works parttime or fulltime, on and off campus. Stu dents work as student assistants, graders, file workers, typists, librarians, lab assistants, research process assistants, technical re pairmen, waiters and custodians for from 75 cents to $3 per hour. Upper pay bracket work goes to technically trained students. The normal student work force is 1,500, he added. July and August are the job seekers’ best bet, Logan added. “Around July 1, we’ll have more job openings than appli cants to fill them,” he remarked. Rudder To Attend East Texas Meet President Earl Rudder flies to East Texas Friday for two speeches and a tour of educational facilities. Rudder speaks to the Longview Kiwanis Club at noon. He will spend the afternoon at Kilgore Junior College where A&M is establishing a cooperative gradu ate engineering program, and in Overton at the McMillian Founda tion, an A&M research station. At 6:30 p.m. he addresses the Deep East Texas Club of former students. The Church..For a Fuller Life..For You.. CALENDAR OF CHURCH SERVICES ST. THOMAS EPISCOPAL. 906 Jersey Street, So. Who doesn’t stand gazing into the future, picturing that new house, that graduation day, that wedding ceremony, that deluxe-model car . . . the thousand and one dreams that man holds in his heart? We realize that a worthwhile life must contain more than just material satisfactions. Without a confident frame of mind, our future will be nothing but tension and uncertainty. Where can we find this inner feeling of courage that will make things easier for us every hour of every day? Millions of people find it in the Christian faith. The apostle Paul said that he was strengthened in everything he did by faith in Christ . . . and this truth is constantly being rediscovered by men and women urgently in need of something they can trust. Faith is the key to peace of mind. With faith, you will be able to move mountains of frustration. Copyright 1966 Keister Advertising Service, Inc., Strasburg, Va.
