THE BATTALION Thursday, November 4, 1964 College Station, Texas Page 7 PONY POWERHOUSE Mac White, 5-10, 175-pound SMU quarterback, will be one of the problems the Aggies will have to overcome Saturday when they meet the Mustangs in Kyle Field. He is dan gerous as a passer, on the run-pass option and up the middle. He directs an SMU offense that features a wide- open approach of split ends, slot and flanker halfbacks and tremendous speed. Girls To Tangle In Football Game Girls will take over the grid iron Sunday afternoon at 2 on Bronco Field in Bryan when the Beatle-ettes and the Spray Net Demons battle it out in a Powder Puff football game sponsored by the St. Joseph’s School Booster Club. Captains of the two female teams are Nancy Newton and Paula Reeves. Halftime ceremonies will be highlighted by the crowning of a male “Homecoming Queen” and during the playing periods the ferocious females on the field will be cheered on to victory by boy cheerleaders dressed in girl out fits and wigs. The “Queen” will he chosen by votes, each vote costing one cent. Nominees and their sponsors have raised the money themselves by selling homemade cakes, popcorn, old newspapers and other items. Football players from St. Jos eph, running for queen, are Bob Burt, Vincent Collete, Nick Dielo, Johnnie House, Bob Kalinec, Gene Nichols and Joe John Ruffino. The day’s activities are spon sored by the Boosters Club and proceeds will be turned over to the Right Reverend Monsignor Tim J. Valenta for his athletic program for hoys not playing on other teams. Valenta said this project was to keep the youngsters occupied, make them physically fit and teach them good sportsmanship. WIN! Enter Lou’s Contest $50 Worth of Nationally Advertised Clothes.
