Unitas, Moore Top Backfield Of All-NFL 11 NEW YORK (JP) — Johnny Unitas and Lenny Moore of Bal timore’s Western Conference cham pions, form half the backfield of the All-National Football League selected Wednesday for The As sociated Press by a panel of sports writers and sportscasters. Baltimore and Green Bay each won five positions among the 22 men picked for the offensive and defensive teams by the 42-man board, including three from each league city. The Colt’s Jim Parker joined Unitas and Moore as a guard on the offensive team. Corner back Bobby Boyd and end Gino Mar- chetti were the Colts’ reprefeenta- tives on the defensive team. Green Bay placed Forrest Gregg at tackle on the offensive team although a mid-season line shuffle by Vince Lombardi moved Gregg to guard. The Packers had four men on the defensive team—end Willie Davis, tackle Henry Jordan, middle linebacker Ray Nitschke and safety Willie Wood. Teaming up with quarterback Unitas and halfback Moore in the backfield were fullback Jim Brown of Cleveland and flanker back Johnny Morris of the Chicago Bears. Frank Clarke of Dallas was the split end and Mike Ditka of the Bears the tight end. Gregg’s part ner at offensive tackle was Dick Schafrath of Cleveland. Ken Gray of St. Louis and Parker were the guards. Mick Tingelhoff of the Minnesota Vikings, was named first string center. Bob Lilly of Dallas paired up with Jordan at defensive tackle with Marchetti and Davis at the ends. The corner linebackers were Joe Fortunate of the Bears and Maxie Baughan of Philadelphia. Pat Fischer, the smallest man in the league, made All-Star corner back as a member of St. Louis’ de fense. Paul Krause, alert Washington rookie from Iowa, was the only first year man on the club. Krause paired with Wood at the safety jobs. SWC Brass Invade Dallas For Conclave DALLAS (A*) — Bigwigs of the Southwest Conference were ar riving Wednesday for the annual winter meeting with a session of the athletic directors and coaches the first on the schedule. The athletic directors and coaches meet at noon Thursday and one of the topics will be a raise in the price of reserved seat tickets for conference football games. The minimum now is $4. There is talk of hiking it to $5. The conference faculty commit tee, governing body of the con ference. will hold its first meeting Friday afternoon, meet again Fri day night and wind up its session Saturday morning. Recruiting violations are among the matters to be studied. Two charges were carried over from the spring meeting at Lubbock when Texas and Southern Metho dist were placed on probation and Baylor and Texas Tech reprimand ed. These complaints are due to be handled at this time. One of them concerns Arkansas and re portedly involves too many vis its to prospective athletes. The conference fathers also will discuss a proposal to limit athle tic scholarships to two years with a renewal clause.
