Of All-NFL 11
NEW YORK (JP) — Johnny
Unitas and Lenny Moore of Bal
timore’s Western Conference cham
pions, form half the backfield of
the All-National Football League
selected Wednesday for The As
sociated Press by a panel of sports
writers and sportscasters.
Baltimore and Green Bay each
won five positions among the 22
men picked for the offensive and
defensive teams by the 42-man
board, including three from each
league city.
The Colt’s Jim Parker joined
Unitas and Moore as a guard on
the offensive team. Corner back
Bobby Boyd and end Gino Mar-
chetti were the Colts’ reprefeenta-
tives on the defensive team.
Green Bay placed Forrest Gregg
at tackle on the offensive team
although a mid-season line shuffle
by Vince Lombardi moved Gregg
to guard. The Packers had four
men on the defensive team—end
Willie Davis, tackle Henry Jordan,
middle linebacker Ray Nitschke
and safety Willie Wood.
Teaming up with quarterback
Unitas and halfback Moore in the
backfield were fullback Jim Brown
of Cleveland and flanker back
Johnny Morris of the Chicago
Bears.
Frank Clarke of Dallas was the
split end and Mike Ditka of the
Bears the tight end. Gregg’s part
ner at offensive tackle was Dick
Schafrath of Cleveland. Ken Gray
of St. Louis and Parker were the
guards. Mick Tingelhoff of the
Minnesota Vikings, was named
first string center.
Bob Lilly of Dallas paired up
with Jordan at defensive tackle
with Marchetti and Davis at the
ends. The corner linebackers were
Joe Fortunate of the Bears and
Maxie Baughan of Philadelphia.
Pat Fischer, the smallest man in
the league, made All-Star corner
back as a member of St. Louis’ de
fense.
Paul Krause, alert Washington
rookie from Iowa, was the only
first year man on the club. Krause
paired with Wood at the safety
jobs.

DALLAS (A*) — Bigwigs of the
Southwest Conference were ar
riving Wednesday for the annual
winter meeting with a session of
the athletic directors and coaches
the first on the schedule.
The athletic directors and
coaches meet at noon Thursday
and one of the topics will be a
raise in the price of reserved seat
tickets for conference football
games. The minimum now is $4.
There is talk of hiking it to $5.
The conference faculty commit
tee, governing body of the con
ference. will hold its first meeting
Friday afternoon, meet again Fri
day night and wind up its session
Saturday morning.
Recruiting violations are among
the matters to be studied. Two
charges were carried over from
the spring meeting at Lubbock
when Texas and Southern Metho
dist were placed on probation and
Baylor and Texas Tech reprimand
ed.
These complaints are due to
be handled at this time. One of
them concerns Arkansas and re
portedly involves too many vis
its to prospective athletes.
The conference fathers also will
discuss a proposal to limit athle
tic scholarships to two years with
a renewal clause.
