Hunters must have a license which will have three tags on the bottom to be attached to the deer he kills, Woodford said. Each hunter is allowed three deer. However, only two of these can be bucks, Woodford explained. In order to kill a doe or an anterless buck, hunters must receive a doe permit from the owner of the lease where they are hunting. If the hunter obtains three doe permits, he can kill three does or anterless bucks. Hunters should remember that although it is legal to use a .22 rifle, it is illegal to use a rimfire cartridge in the rifle, but centerfire cartridges are legal. Woodford said Thursday that the population of White Tail deer was average in the county this year and urged hunters to use safety precautions. pak, plant and soil science major, Coupland; William C.
