The prank ended in more excite ment for adults than children when firemen received a hurry-up alarm from a resident in the 600 block pf Dexter St. in South Side Col lege Station at 8:15 p.m. yester day. The fire turned out to he a bril liant display of fireworks from the chimney on Charles R. Col bert’s home at GOO Dexter Street, as bird nests and soot sparkled high over the roof. Orville Lindsey, chairman of the rules committee said that the rules of the Turkey shoot will be as follows: © Ten contestants will compete for one turkey and the best score wins the turkey. ® Two shots will be fired per person and the person firing the two closest shots wins regardless of the location of the target. ® More than two shots on one target disqualifies the individual. ® All Contestants will fire from the standing position. • No personal guns will be al lowed. © Targets will be at a distance of 50 feet. • Safety rules of the range must be observed at all times. Violators will be removed from the range without refund of ticket price. • Safety insti-uctions will be given to each, group of ten. The supervisor of each group must be obeyed at all times. This is for the safety of all concerned. • A person may win only two turkeys. Tickets are being sold by all members of the club. They can also be obtained at Student Activities Office.
