Needs Cajuns
All you Cajuns! Do you feel
out of place in Texas? Well,
here is a group that needs
your help.
The A&M Consolidated High
School Senior Class is now re
hearsing their annual Senior
Play. This year’s production,
entitled “The Great Big Door
step”, is set in the Louisiana
swamps and uses Cajun dia
lect in most of the parts.
So the Consolidated seniors
need the help of several hon-
est-to-goodness Cajuns who
will sit and talk for them.
Call Mrs. Dorothy Rush or
Robert Boone at the school
during school hours if you can
help. The number is VI 6-7421.

Halloween Lit Up
By Chimney Fire
The big’gest prank of all Hallo
ween njght was “cooked up” by
the birds last summer.
The prank ended in more excite
ment for adults than children when
firemen received a hurry-up alarm
from a resident in the 600 block
pf Dexter St. in South Side Col
lege Station at 8:15 p.m. yester
day.
The fire turned out to he a bril
liant display of fireworks from
the chimney on Charles R. Col
bert’s home at GOO Dexter Street,
as bird nests and soot sparkled
high over the roof.
No damage was done by the un
timely display of sparklers, which
are usually reserved for Fom-th
of July celebrations.
