The Big Seven wrapped up the victory after 12 events. The Southwest won the first meet two years ago. Last year’s meet was a tie, with the, last event deciding the outcome both times. Bill McGuire Of Missouri and Pat Bowers of Kansas, both so phomores, broke meet records ffor the milje and half-mile runs, respectively, in the fastest races they ever had run. , McGuire traveled the mile in 4:13.8. ,.Bowers got the 880 in L52.L , ;!
