the Fish on a 13-7' count. Playing
a hard fought see-saw battle with
the SMU Colts, the Fish lost again
7 to 0. Last Friday the Rice Blue
Bolts humbled 1 the first year team
by a 33 to 6 victory.
Ip spite! oT their losses the Fish
field a belter than average team.
In their bkckfield, they have two

On the line, the Aggies have two
of the finest. prospects in guards
,.Carl Molberg and Mickey Spencer.
Spencer was an All-State lineman
last year. Molberg played outstand

In their first bout of the ypar,
the Aggie Fencing Team, jouiUey-
ed to. Houston over -the weekend
and defeated the Rice foil squad.
Both varsity and freshmen teams
made the trip, !
The foil section of the Aggie
team had no difficulty at all in
downing the Rice foil section 18
to 0. The more experienced A&M
team, both varsity and freshmen,
refused to give up a single ipoint
to the Owls swordsmen. This in
cluded both scores of the varsity
and freshmen participants.
Meeting the Rice fencers in the
epee and saber matches proved a
little harder for the Aggies. Two
Owl Fencers, Chcrico and Carpen
ter, held the A&M squad to a 4-4
tbuch tie. The last and final match
was decided in favor of the Aggies,
who won the tilt 5-4,
Harold Van' Buekirk, formerly
on the Olympic Saber Team, direc
ted the varsity, while V. L. Schmidt
