the Aggie Fencing Team, jouiUey-

and defeated the Rice foil squad.
Both varsity and freshmen teams

The foil section of the Aggie
team had no difficulty at all in
downing the Rice foil section 18
to 0. The more experienced A&M
team, both varsity and freshmen,
refused to give up a single ipoint
to the Owls swordsmen. This in
cluded both scores of the varsity
and freshmen participants.
Meeting the Rice fencers in the
epee and saber matches proved a
little harder for the Aggies. Two
Owl Fencers, Chcrico and Carpen
ter, held the A&M squad to a 4-4
tbuch tie. The last and final match
was decided in favor of the Aggies,
who won the tilt 5-4,
