It has come to the attention of this office that individuals housed in Dormitor ies No. 14, 17, Walton and Hart Halls have painted the walls of their rooms, or have made other changes of a permanent na ture. Since the removal of such paint or restoration of the rooms to their orig inal condition involves considerable cost and labor to the College such practices must he prohibited. Effective February 23, 1946 no perma nent changes or additions may be made in dormitory rooms or apartments without written approval of the Dean of Men. Garden Club has postponed its regular March meet ing to March 15th. Education, the new club officers for this semester were elected as follows: Lee Richardson, by acclamation. President; Taylor Riedel, Vice- President; Gerry Sueltenfuss, Se cretary; Gerry Rittenhouse, Treas- urere; Bert Campbell, Reporter. The club meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month. Visitors are invited. SIGMA XI TO HEAR DR. T. H. WATERMAN Dr. Talbot H. Waterman, na tional research Committee secretary from Yale University, will be prin cipal speaker at tonight’s meeting of the Texas A&M College Sigma Xi club meeting in Room 115 of the Petroleum Engineering build ing, starting at 8 p.m. A round-table discussion on ef fectiveness of Sigma Xi in encour aging research will follow Dr. Waterman’s address on “Active Re search Project Survey Throughout the United States and Canada.” A social hour will wind up the gather ing. Dr. Waterman was scheduled to arrive at noon today and be con ducted on a tour of the various research projects under way at the college. Aggies Entered in Arizona Rodeo Tucson, Arizona—Top cowboys from many western colleges will convene at Tucson, March 17th for the Sixth Annual Inter-Collegiate Rodeo. The University of Arizona is again playing host and will de fend its team championship won in 1942 when the event was last held. The rodeo dance and parade in downtown Tucson will climax the week’s activities. Events scheduled for the rodeo on the 17th are: steer riding, bronc riding, calf roping, team tying, wild cow milking, wild mule race, mixed team tying, girls’ boot— cigar race, boys’ cowboy race, girls’ cowpony race, boys’ bareback wrestling, girls’ bareback wrestling and girls’ potato race. Entry fees for the single events are $3.00, the team events $6.00. Prizes are being donated by down town merchants, and the entry fees will be split 50-30-20. Visiting representatives from the various colleges will be provided with housing accommodations and horses.
