The Prairie View Panthers are reported to have one of the best teams in their history. Monday night they defeated a strong Wi ley College (Marshall) eleven 20 to 0 at the Fair Park Stadium in Dallas. Earlier in the month the Panthers eked out a 6 to 0 victory over the Langston College team from Oklahoma to break an eight- year winning streak that ' school had establishel. The Prairie View Panthers are expeceted to display an effective forward pass attack bolstered by the broken field run ning and line plunging of Roberts, a halfback. The game is scheduled to start at 3:30 o’clock Friday afternoon. Joel Hunt, Hershel Burgess and Ralph Dorsey, former Texas Ag gie football stars, two of them who are now Aggie coaches, will act as referee, umpire and head lines man respectively. Capt. E. L. Ly- one will be field judge. An added thrill to the game pro bably will be given by the Prairie View band and pep squad. The west side of the Kyle Field sta dium will be reserved for vchite people and the east side for ne groes. Tentative lineup for Prairie View will be James and Johnson, ends; Sampson and Sanders, tackles; Riley and Huges, guards; J. Both teams have a clean slate thus far and judging from past games this season it should be a battle royal. President Gai’field of Williams College has asked the fifteen fra ternities to abandon their annual Fall house parties because of the strained financial condition of many of the students. At a revival meeting converts were coming forward by the doz en. A negro came striding down the aisle and dropped to his knees. His feet were bare and enormous as they stuck up beTiind him. In a moment the revivalist started up the aisle, kneeling here and there beside the converts. The near-sighted old man peered earn estly at the negro, patted him on the shoulder and murmered: “Bless you, brother.” Then kneeling be hind him and putting a hand on each heel, he said: “And bless these two dear little boys.”—The Gateway, University of Alberta. (Wild Cat) Buter, the fighting ex-Ma- rine, was the first speaker on the University of Utah’s “Master Minds and Artists’ series. The hopes of the Aggies were given another boost this week when Willis Nolan, letterman at center, again donned the uniform for the first time since the Tulane game. It is not likely that his injured knee wil be in shape for the Baylor affair, but he will probably break into the line-up in the Centenary game one week hence, should the injured pinion continue to show improvement. Cellophane Wrapper Adopted by Another Large Tobacco Firm Announcement of Luck Strike’s new notched-tab cellophane pack age is made in this newspaper to day as one of the advertisements in the current campaign by The American Tobacco Company. In this extensive campaign advertis ing space in more than 1,900 daily newspapers and 260 college news papers will be used to set forth the advantages of Lucky Strike’s new cellophane wrapping. This im proved wrapper differs from other cellophane packages in its new notched-tab feature which permits the package to be easily opened by the smoker. By holding down one side of the notched-tab and pulling on the other the smoker can tear off one corner of the cello phane wrapper and open the pack age as he has always done. The notched-tab feature makes the package very easy to open without losing any of the advantages of cellophane in retaining cne mellow flavor of the toasted tobacco. The new advertising campaign will also explain the benefits accruing to the smoker through the removal of certain harmful irritants by the toasting process including the use of ultra violet rays. Another attraction has been ad ded to the list for football fans this week-end, when Kyle field will be the scene of a gridiron battle filled-with color—Friday afternoon when two negro teams, the Prai rie View Panthers and Arkansas State College fight for colored gridiron supremacy in the south. Joel Hunt, Hershel Burgess and Ralph Dorsey, all former Aggie * football stars, will officiate the 1 game. The west side of the sta dium will be resrved for white peo ple and the east for negroes.
