Photo by Jim Hendrickson Women blast UH, take 55-48 victory By CAROLYN BLOSSER Battalion Sports Writer In a fast and furious game last night, A&M thrashed the University of Houston 55-48, bringing their record up to 5-1 for the season. Accurate shooting and perfect execution weren’t exactly charac teristic of this aggressive, physical game. Both teams committed numerous fouls and made a low per centage of their attempted shots. But they did provide plenty of action in the never-a-dull-moment game. The Ags’ main nemesis came in the personage of 6-2 Cathy Bardwell who was responsible for 23 of Hous ton’s points. Bardwell, who lacked some of the other players’ speed and agility, was very effective when play ing under the basket. There she fre quently scored with the help of some quick passes from her teammates.
