Gates put the plan on hold in January. The Student Government Association official ly endorsed the original plan, which included fac ulty and staff, but has not officially endorsed the revised plan, which only affects students, said Logan Renfrow, Southside student senator. The deans will discuss faculty and staff park ing issues next, after the student plan is imple mented. Newton said. “Most of the faculty and staff parts of the pro posed plan we can support" Newlon said, "but there are parts of it that we are adamantly opposed to.” New ton said the main objection to the original parking plan by the deans was that they would lose control over parking spaces. New ton said part of the proposed plan was that all non-reserved parking spots would be allocated by TS. Currently, zone administrators, or staff who work for department heads and deans, have control over some spots in faculty and staff lots. down the 1c M rice not H)us NEWS IN BRIEF Four killed in Illinois plant explosion ILLIOPOLIS, III.
