Holditch received his Bachelor of Science, master’s and doctoral degrees, all in petroleum engineering, from A&M. He founded S.A. Holditch & Associates, Inc. in 1977, which became part of Schlumberger Technology Corporation in 1997. Holditch is a Schlumberger Fellow and is a production and reservoir engineering adviser to the top managers within the company. Holditch has received many awards and recognitions such as being elected to the National Academy of Engineering ££ and the Russian Academy of N a t u a Sciences and is currently conducting research involving nat ural gas hydrates, gas reservoirs and carbonate reservoirs. Hans Juvkam-Wold, interim head for the petro leum engineer ing department, has known Holditch since 1985 when Juvkam-Wold first joined the department.
