The move in the polls places the Aggies (17-6, 2-1) at their highest point since the end of the 2001 season when the team reached No. 7. The most recent move in the polls makes the Red Raiders' (13- 4, 3-1) task this weekend appear even more daunting. The Aggies have won their first 13 home matches heading into the match. 'it is disappointing that we lost (to OSU),” said A&M Head Coach Tim Cass. “1 think certain ly now it made the chore very clear.” In order for the Aggies to stay in the Big 12 race against teams such as Baylor and Texas, the men most likely will have to win all of the conference matches on their schedule. The Red Raiders come to College Station looking much improved over past years. Despite losing their last three matches, including a close match to No.29 San Diego, the Red Raider still shown signs of strengtl a 3-1 record in conferencef But. with the three-gam ing streak already facing] more adversity came (her this week as freshman Diede Groot was dismissed froa team. "This is a very difficuM for me to do, especially have been playing so well as have a chance of miking NCAA Tournament,” sakll Head Coach Tim Si "Diederik violated teammks his work on the court was ns to my standards.” Much of the Aggies' success can be attributed t play of sophomore Mati jevic. He was named 12 Flayer of the Week fonh: ond straight time this wed has won 12 straight sir. matches, going undefeat conference play. Matijevic is also teamed sophomore Lester Cook s No. 3 doubles team in the it The Aggies are schedule finish their weekend ma:. against TCU. The Homed ft (11-6) have w on three of the: four matches.
