A&M junior guard Bernard King was fouled by Loyola Marymount’s Marcus Smith while attempting a 3-pointer with three-tenths of a second left in the game, giving King a chance to shoot three free throws and tie the game, which stood at 80-77. King made the first free throw but his next two bounced harmlessly off the rim as the Lions held off the Aggies, 80- 78, handing A&M its first loss of the season.
