Big Pauly's Acoustic singer Shane Walker will play a blend of original and cover songs from the Texas country and blues flavor with spe cial guest, Professor Scott Austin. The show will start around 9 p.m. There is no cover charge. Drawing on a range of musical forerun ners such as the Beatles, David Bowie and Radiohead, Midlake is a promising band with a prominent sound. Special guest Red Animal War will accompany the band. Pulido describes them as “an emo core band" with a sound indicative of Jimmy Eat World meets At the Drive In. The show begins at 8:30 p.m. Cover is $5. Saturday 3rd Floor Cfcntina Local hard rock favorite, Linus, will pf form at the Cantina tonight. Specialgoe: Liquid Youth, will open for the band 9:30 p.m. Cover is S5. Big Pauly’s Show is to be announced. Fitzwilly’s Karan Chavis will perform on the outdoor stage at 9:30 p.m. Cover charge is to be determined. Zapatos Cantina Wide Open Mic Night, hosted by Chad Boyd, will begin on the porch stage at 8:30 p.m. Musicians are invited to express themselves with cover songs or originals. There is no cover charge. Double Dave's Beginning at 7 p.m. the upstairs of Northgate’s Double Dave's Pizzeria will again be opened for the music lovers of College Station.
