In many cases, students said mainstream issues such as fiscal pol icy and abortion and the general char acter of the candidates are important, but they also brought up a number of other items that they believe will have a major impact on the future of the country. Jonathan Fricke and Eric Suther land, both senior management infor mation systems majors, said that is sues such as equal rights and legalization of marijuana are impor tant to many college students.
