Page 2 » Monday, October 29, 1999 c AMPUS Southside halls to ho dance, costume contes BY JESSI HIGHFILL The Battalion Southside residence halls are bringing the Halloween spirit to campus early by sponsoring the “Hall”-0-Ween Costume Bash, a dance and costume contest, tonight from 7:30 to ll:30 in Duncan Din ing Hall. Shaina Berkowitz, Spence-Brig- gs Hall council treasurer and a sophomore animal science major, said the sponsors of the dance hope to make it an annual event. “Our purpose is to bring togeth er the Corps of Cadets and the Southside on-campus residents in a celebration of the Halloween hol iday,” Berkowitz said. “This dance is basically for Southside residents and the Corps, but we won’t turn away anyone from Northside who wants to come.” Adam Stevenson, Aston Hall president and a sophomore civil engineering major, said activities will include a DJ, dancing, a cos tume contest and refreshments. “Our purpose is to bring together the Corps of Cadets and the Southside on- campus residents... — Shaina Berkowitz Spence-Briggs Hall and event T-shirts will be« for $7.
