Their students always come down to Col lege Station and participate in sev eral of the traditions here too.” Blaney said this event created a strong relationship between the two student government associa tions. “This event really strengthened our relationship with A&M-Galve- ston’s SGA and it also brought our own student body leaders closer,” she said. “We got to spend more time with each other and also got to know each other better. We also wanted to have a closer relation ship with A&M-Galveston’s SGA.” Rob Ferguson, a junior political science major and off campus sen ator of Texas A&M, said a lot of positive ideas were exchanged this past weekend. “The event was very successful and 1 hope we continue to do this in the future because we could ben efit so much from each other,” he said. “We are so close in tradition that I hope other groups on our campus will take part in this ex change program and see what they have to offer. ” Ferguson said they discussed building a freshman leadership or ganization at A&M-Galveston to improve student involvement. “Getting freshmen involved is the key to improving student par ticipation,” he said. “I really hope students take the opportunity to find out what A&M-Galveston has to offer and is all about.” Monday patrol the Northgate area. Phillips said the College Station Police Department currently has a limited number of officers and must keep the officers within the office, rather than sending one or two out to patrol on bike or foot. Officers keep hours Monday, TUesday, Wednesday and Friday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and Thurs day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and in the evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Northgate Community Office is one of three offices in College Sta tion, including one at Windsor Pointe and another at Lincoln Center.
