The Aggies received their fourth straight victory in a hard-fought game that produced 21 fouls and seven yellow cards. Once again, junior forward Nicky Thrasher stepped up to the task of pressuring her opponents with three shots on goal against Utah. Thrasher was able to give the Aggies the go-ahead goal midway through the second half after receiving a pass from freshman mid-fielder Andrea Starns. This is the fourth consecutive game in which Thrasher has scored a goal. Senior forward Mandy Davidson was also able to find the back of the net in yesterday’s game. Two minutes into the second half, freshman for ward Heather Ragsdale flicked a pass to Davidson, who was able to shoot the ball just out of the goal keeper’s reach into the upper-left corner of the goal. Utah’s lone goal came in the first half when fresh man forward Shauna Gurr kicked the ball in the top- right corner of the goal. The Aggie defense helped out the team by only allowing four shots on goal. The victory over Utah increased A&M’s record to 4-0.
