Alicen Swift, a junior journalism major, will be the editor of the first yearbook for the next century. Swift has worked on the Ag- gieland for the past two years. As a sophomore she served as a general writer and this year as a copy editor. Swift said she has chosen and met with her 1999-2000 staff and will use this summer to develop fresh ideas for coverage of the fall season. This summer, Swift and five members of her staff will travel to St. Louis, Mo., for the “Idea Forum” sponsored by the Association of Col legiate Press. Swift said she and her staff hope to find a new theme for the yearbook of the new millenni um. “The 2000 yearbook will be real ly historical with a view of what is in store for the future,” she said. “We also plan to have a lot of in formation about what Aggieland was like at the turn of the 20th cen tury. ” George said the three editors were chosen in an unanimous public vote by the Student Publications Board. daiquiri bar in the area and will feature a variety of flavors,” Gan- ter said.
