Food Frenzy tour offers taste of Bryan Historic downtown Bryan will host Food Frenzy Restaurant Tour tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is sponsored by Downtown Merchants and Busi ness Association, Alpha Phi Sorority, Bryan Coca-Cola, B-102 FM and 98.3 KORA. For $5, visitors may sample food from Bahgi’s Espresso Bar, Cafe Capri, Clementine’s, Gina’s Restaurant, Square One and Zarape. The Palace Theater will feature free live music throughout the day including local songwriters Jenny Morgan, Gable Macek, Roy Gene and Alex Munse, John Cozad and Thomas Bain and Mike Murphy. Tickets are on sale at partici pating downtown merchants. Student to deliver speech on Sudan Caesar Ricci, a junior plant and soil science major, will give a pre sentation on starvation and slavery in Sudan in 601 Rudder tomorrow at 6 p.m. The presentation is being hosted by the African Students Association. Ricci said 100,000 civilians starved to death in south Sudan in 1998 due to war, and in the past 16 years, 2 million have starved. Ricci will deliver a speech and present a video presentation about famine. Munson Continued from Page 1 to carry higher amounts of traffic. Mike McMichen, a member of Friends of Our Community, said the city has been planning for the high er traffic counts for 40 years, and the plan should be carried out. “We believe Munson Avenue should be opened and possibly widened to handle the increase in traffic," McMichen said. “A proper study needs to be done to measure the traffic demands on Munson Av enue. ” Citizens for Neighborhood In tegrity believes the preservation of the neighborhood is at stake. Mem bers say the traffic is dangerous for children and will eventually lower the property values of the homes in the area.
