Texas A&M’s Faculty Senate approved numerous course ad ditions and course changes and endorsed the proposed creation of a Department of Performance Studies, which will house the de gree and faculty in theater arts and music. Also during the Monday meet ing, faculty senators approved the addition of several courses in architecture and kinesiology as components of humanities and/or visual and performing arts core. In addition, senators en dorsed a revised policy on mis conduct in research, but opted to refer a Northgate Resolution back to the Faculty Senate’s ex ecutive committee for addition al revision. Furthermore, senators heard reports from former speaker Wayne Wylie about a reward sys tem for faculty members with multiple missions at Texas A&M. A workshop will be held March 11-12 on campus to ad dress this issue. Also, William Perry, executive associate provost, addressed the senate about the admis sions program.
