Zamora NEW BRAUNFELS (AP) — Blood traces in a car used dur ing the r _ , killing of 16- year-old A d r i a n n e Jones appear to indicate more than one person committed the crime, a blood stain expert testi fied Monday. "I would say it's more consis tent with two or more perpetra tors because of the blood in the back seat," Max Courtney, owner of Forensic Consultant Services, testified for the prose cution in the capital murder trial of former Air Force Academy cadet David Graham. Under cross-examination, Courtney agreed four blood traces in the back seat of the 1992 Mazda Protege could have gotten there from someone toss ing bloody clothes into the four- door car. "It's possible," Courtney said. The car belonged to the fami ly of former Naval Academy midshipman Diane Zamora, Graham's ex-fiancee who was convicted of capital murder in Fort Worth in February and is serving a life sentence. Prosecutors claim Graham and Zamora murdered Jones on Dec. 4, 1995, while in high school in the Fort Worth area because a jealous Zamora wrongly believed Graham had sex with Jones and demanded that he kill her. Both Graham and; confessed to the shootimB when they were arresM following year. Derailing debate Environmentalists determined to to future shipments of napalm from Califom HOUSTON (AP) — The derailment of a coal train in Central Texas has sent shock waves all the way to the Houston Ship Channel. "The mantra from govern ment and industry officials in assuring local residents is always, 'There is no cause for alarm,"' Jim Baldauf of the environmental coalition Texans United said. "That is what you hear right before the explosion." Baldauf's group had protested the shipment of four containers — 22,000 pounds worth — of Vietnam War-era napalm to a Deer Park facility where it was to be recycled. Friday evening, one day after the napalm train passed over a concrete railroad trestle southeast of Temple, the bridge collapsed as a Burlington Northern Santa Fe derailed and slammed into it, railroad spokesperson ferry Jenkins said. Thirty-six of the train's 117 cars fell onto or along Texas Highway 36. Now environmentalists say they are more determined than ever to stop hundreds of future napalm shipments from California to the GNI Group Inc. plant. "Why haul napalm the entire breadth of the country? It's not a matter of, ^'m an | gome, to be an accident? •'^ nit P matter of, 'When is the<«F n ‘j dent going to happ^r* 1111 Baldauf said.
