The team will travel to Orlan do, Fla. on Friday to compete in the United States Collegiate Golf Championship at Lake Buena Vista Golf Club. I am Tiger Woods! Junior golfer Ryan Palmer has been as hot as anyone across the country during the month of March. The Amarillo, Texas, native has won the last two tournaments he has entered. Palmer shot a one- over-par 217 at the Louisiana Classic at Oakbourne Country Junior golfer Ryan Palmer has been as hot as anyone across the country during the month of March, Club in Lafayette, La., on the weekend of March 9-10. Palmer followed up that per formance by shooting an eight- under-par 208 at the Border Olympics. Palmer was tied with two other golfers at the end of play Saturday with a two-round total of 143. Palmer blew away the rest of the competi tion on Sunday when he fired a final-round 65 to capture his second tour nament victo ry of the year. Currently Palmer ranks second on the team in scoring average, averaging 73.13 per round. Del Angel Playing the Rankings Game In the latest MasterCard Colle giate Golf Rankings the Aggies are ranked No. 33 in the nation. The Aggies are the fourth-highest ranked team in the Big 12, behind No. 8 Oklahoma State, No. 23 Ok lahoma University and No. 30 University of Nebraska. A&M is currently ranked No. 4 in District 6 behind the Uni versity of Houston, Texas Chris tian University, and the Univer sity of Arkansas. The Aggies currently have two players ranked in the top 100 in the nation. Senior Miguel Del Angel is ranked No. 28 and Palmer is ranked No. 87. The All-Frequent Flyer Team The Aggies are making a bid to lead the nation in frequent flyer miles. The Aggies have traveled to tournaments in Al buquerque, N.M., St. Louis, Hilton Head , S.C., Waikaloa, Hawaii, and Lafayette, La. The team will continue their traveling ways with tournaments in Orlando, Fla., Cary, N.C., and back to Albuquerque, N.M., to complete the season.
